Broad Street pedestrianisation consultation underway

Aberdeen City Council’s consultation on the future of Broad Street is now underway.

The consultation only runs until Sunday 12th June and the options being consulted on are:

  • No change
  • Bus and bicycle only
  • Full pedestrianisation

At the city council meeting on 11th May the Liberal Democrats urged the council to extend the consultation period until Thursday 30th June to give people more time to respond. This was rejected by Labour, Conservative and SNP councillors. We also proposed that the council hold at least one consultation “roadshow” in the city centre open to the public and that was also rejected by the other parties.

Be sure to have your say.
