Save Hazlehead and Kincorth swimming pools say Lib Dems

Hazlehead Liberal Democrat councillors Jennifer Stewart and Martin Greig are calling on Sport Aberdeen to drop their plans to close Hazlehead and Kincorth swimming pools.

They launched their campaign after Sport Aberdeen announced its plan to close the swimming pools on election day, Thursday 5th May, without any public consultation.

Martin Greig said "These two swimming pools are vital community assets which has seen a lack of investment by the Labour-Conservative coalition running the city council. Swimming pools provide long-term health and leisure benefits beyond measure and this seems to have been ignored."

Jennifer Stewart added "In February this year, Labour, SNP and Conservative councillors voted to slash Sport Aberdeen's budget by £400,000. Only the Liberal Democrats opposed this move."
