Drop the Drop Off Charge

Aberdeen International Airport has just doubled to £2 the charge it imposes on drivers dropping off passengers at the airport - only a year after first imposing a £1 charge.

The Liberal Democrats believe this change is an unfair toll on people using the airport and are calling on the airport's management to drop the drop off charge.

Record yopur support below for the campaign calling on Aberdeen International Airport to drop their unjustified and unfair £2 drop off charge at the airport

Question: is the road outside the airport where this drop off rip off is located council owned? If it how come a private company can hold council tax payers etc to ransom.

Gunpoint robbery in broad daylight. That’s what this ridiculous theiving ‘charge’ is. If they really wanted to encourage movement it would be free to go through for, at very least, the first 10 minutes. But it’s not about time or traffic, it’s all about making easy money by stealing from honest people.

Not only is this greed, I would question its legitimacy. They have in effect created a toll road through an area where the public have over decades driven freely. I had understood the creation of such a type of toll (even if for privately maintained roadways) was subject to strict licence. Has this been granted?

If as they say, the purpose is to reduce congestion, just introduce fines for parking in that area for more than 10 minutes.

Thieving profiteering just a couple words to describe this airports decision to charge people who are bringing business to their premises everyday. Madness.

Paying to stop your car at the pavement and let someone out of your car is ridiculous!!! Just seems like a malicious aim to cause people to pay fines. Who ever decided this should get sacked. Why not come up with a plan to make extra money that actually benefits the customers as well???

Introduction of the £1 drop off charge was unpalatable. Doubling it is pure out and out greed.

£1.00 would be all very well if there was another option without paying but there isn’t. But £2.00 is being greedy.
